Objective

To design an engineering solution towards the current issues with the Citarum Rivers. We focused our paper towards the invasive water hyacinth increasing sedimentation in the rivers thus reducing the expected operational lifetime of the power grid which is relied on heavily by Indonesia’s population. The solution was thus to create a cost effective method of converting the plants into a useful product as incentive for its removal.
